suena energy is a green tech startup specializing in algorithmic energy trading for energy storage systems and renewable energies.

You'd be joining at the right moment: Reto — one of suena's most experienced analysts — is moving into a brand-new Data Analytics track first, splitting off from R&D Data Science to focus on backtests, reports and analyses, and we're hiring two analysts to help him build it out. In practice, that means:

• Run backtests for storage and storage-plus-renewables setups across grid restrictions, battery parameters and asset sizes.
• Test new trading strategies before they go live by turning features like ramp control or aFRR logic into targeted simulations.
• Keep our data pipelines and PV/wind generation profiles in good shape, catching data quality issues before they become problems — including untangling a few legacy Excel workflows into Python along the way.
• Pull, validate and process data yourself with SQL/PostgreSQL and Power Query, instead of waiting on someone else to hand it to you.
• Dig into the "why" behind the numbers, from capture rate decomposition to asset sizing and curtailment diagnostics, and jump in whenever trading, commercial or ops need an ad-hoc analysis.
• Automate manual reporting work directly in Python, reducing recurring effort across the team.
• Ensure reliable data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders via Plotly and Grafana dashboards.
• Contribute to our expansion into new European markets — as we roll out into Poland and Spain, you'll help adapt our simulation frameworks to local market rules and data structures.

• Confident Python skills (pandas, numpy, matplotlib/Plotly, Jupyter) — code other people can build on.
• Hands-on SQL/PostgreSQL skills — you pull and validate data yourself.
• Comfortable with time-series data — DST and UTC handling, timestamp validation aren't new territory.
• CSV/JSON pipelines, schema handling and data quality checks — you catch issues before they become someone else's problem.
• Some grounding in European energy markets and renewables — market basics, generation and capture-rate concepts, battery storage fundamentals; doesn't need to run deep, but real curiosity does.
• Reporting automation with Plotly and structured KPI exports — you've built recurring outputs in Python before, not just one-off charts.
• Statistical methods and Grafana are a plus — decomposition analyses, regressions, dashboard tooling.
• Fluent English (C1) — that's our working language.
